Montessori-trained, bilingual English-French, I would like to find a family or two and work fulltime (35 hours a week) as a shared nanny, or nanny for one family only.
I do not smoke, love reading stories, cooking, planning and doing craft activities, and above all listening to children and enjoying their company. I enjoy doing activities such as baking and cooking with the children, and involving them in all aspects of the day. I believe that children need to feel useful and involved in the work day of adults (this is no longer the case in the west, as it still is in developing countries) so my last two cherubs "helped" me all day long.
I have worked with children in the UK, Spain, and France, as a Montessori nursery teacher, a teacher of English, and until March 2016 for a family in Saint Emilion as their nanny and cook, looking after a little boy and his baby sister. I met her when she was two weeks old and saw her take her first steps and spent many a happy hour with them amidst the vines and picking figs, baking, exploring, cooking for their parents, and much more.
I have references, and would be happy to meet for a chat. I am a French national, educated in Great Britain. I have a degree from the university of London, and a Montessori diploma. I love children and am a very affectionate and cuddly nanny, and your children will feel loved by me. All the children I ever looked after have loved me.
I am not severe and I am patient and I laugh a lot. If you want your children to be disciplined and to sit still, I am not the person for you. I believe in respecting the child's rhythm and never punishing them. I prefer to distract rather than chastise.
Thank you for your time.
